Vice Chancellor of Karl Kumm University, Vom, Nigeria, Prof Yakubu Yerima Jabil has disclosed his management’s desire to produce God fearing and intellectually competent graduates that can positively impact on the quest for national integration and development of the country.
Speaking during the handover ceremony of the newly posted Chaplain of the university, Rev Reuben Samari Hassan, Prof Jabil noted that what the contemporary youth need are innovative and God fearing messages that would motivate them to follow the path of transparent leadership for the benefit of the nation.
A statement signed by the Protocol and Information Officer to the Vice Chancellor, Bulus Gambo quotes Prof Jabil thanking the outgoing Chaplain, Rev Dr John Duwam for successfully working in the vineyard of the Lord.
He urged the newly posted Chaplain, Rev Hassan to continue with this great role in the institution which will motivate the students to become great leaders of tomorrow.
Prof Jabil urged the newly posted Chaplain to liaise with the church leadership towards ensuring the completion of the university chapel which is greatly anticipated by the university community.
In his remarks, the newly posted Chaplain, Rev Reuben Samari Hassan gave God the glory for giving him the opportunity to serve in the university and prayed for sufficient grace to accomplish the assignment.
In his remarks, the outgone Chaplain, Rev. Dr. John Duwam thanked God for the achievements recorded in the university and prayed to God to grant more human and financial resources to enable management to succeed in its responsibilities.
The Registrar, Benjamin Dachomo and the University Librarian, Dr Lydia Lakan appreciated the outgoing Chaplain and prayed to God to grant the newly posted Chaplain the grace to accomplish his mission in the institution.
