The Executive Chairman of Kanke Local Government Area, Nde Emmanuel Lar has warned bordering communities with Bauchi state in the locality never to compromise government order on border closure.
Nde Emmanuel Lar stated this while inspecting the team of security personnel deployed to man the border between Kanke Local Government Area and Bauchi State.
He said gone are the days of compromise and with serious life threatening issues like the ravaging corona virus, the government resolved to set up taskforce and mobile courts to prosecute violators of the order.
Nde Lar assured people of the locality of Government focus and determination to protect its citizens against all odds especially at this trying period of the Covid 19 pandemic that is ravaging across the world.
Nde Lar told the taskforce that the total lockdown means no passage of any kind, therefore everybody must be seen to be very diligent in handling his duty with all form of seriousness
While soliciting the continuous support of the neighbouring villages to cooperate with the securities for effective performance, the Chairman assured them of government plan to cushion the effects of the lockdown.
The LG Boss was accompanied by the Chairman of the Local Task Force committee on COVID 19 who doubled as the Deputy Chairman of the council, Hon Nde Luka Vengji and Heads of security agencies in the Area.
In another development, the Task Force committee responsible for the compliance of the state Government directive on total lockdown has paraded 12 violators of the order at Pankshin High Court.
The violators after been declared guilty as charged will pay the fine of 10,000 or do community service for months as punishmen.
