The chief executive officer , Beautiful Gate Handicapped People Center, Chief Ayuba Burki Gufwan has lamented the unabated attacks and killings in some parts of Plateau State.
He said these attacks has created many widows, widowers, orphans with the death of their loved ones in addition to destroying their means of livelihood and leaving them hopeless.
Burki revealed this while on a mission to provide succour to those affected by the crisis in Riyom, Barkin/Ladi, Bassa and Mangu Local Government area of Plateau.
Donating over 1300 bags of fertilizer, the CEO expressed that although the NGO is saddled with the responsibility of providing aids for persons living with disability, he is however touched by the danger and hunger victims of attacks are exposed to. Hence the need to support them with the fertilizers to boost their agricultural produces for better harvest in order to curtail hunger in the near future.
He called on the state government and individuals of good will in the affected Local Governments to come to the aid of these victims by making sure their security is guaranteed as they are relocated back to their communities to farm and harvest their crops to better their living.
About 1350 orphans, widows and widowers benefited from the kind gesture.
