Christian Youth Encouraged to Share the Gospel with their Peers

Young people have been called upon to share what the have learned from the word of God with their friends and neighbours.

The Country Coordinator of a Christian Non Governmental Organization, ServeNow, Mr. Alexander Enoch gave the encouragement recently at TEKAN Headquarters, Jos, while launching a new discipleship material ‘The Basic Things You Need to Know About The Church’

According to him the Church is a building where people who have been saved meet together to gain more knowledge in order to impact the world around. He said born again believers are the temple of God who constitute the church.

While enlightening the youth on how to go about using the material, Coach Enoch said they need to read it at a go, then read again meditatively allowing God to speak them. He added that they need to share what they have learned with others and after that they can testify of how the material has blessed their lives. According to him sharing with other will help in spreading the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Speaking about ServeNow, he said is a Colorado based organization that is into discipleship but does not stop at that as they also engage in economic empowerment and other interventions.

While introducing the Programme the Chief Executive Officer, Shalom Youth Development Initiative, SYDI, Mr. Hezekiah Panye said the launching is carried out by SYDI in partnership with ServeNow.

He added that apart from discipleship SYDI is also into youth development and HIV Aids advocacy. According to him the material being launched was not the first but one in a series of others that have been studied previously. He encouraged the youth to make good use of the material as it will help transform their lives.

Interviewing some of the youth who attended the Programme most of them said the have learned a lot from the basic series discipleship material and encouraged the organization to keep up the good work.
