Christians have been urged to remember God in everything and to be thankful in every situation in their lives
Rev. Ayuba Abok Musa made the call recently at COCIN LCC Rizek in Jos during the 80th thanksgiving service of Mrs. Mary lzam.
Reading from Ecclesiastes 12:1-13 and proverbs 6:6, Rev. Musa stressed the need for Christians to fear God, seek God’s wisdom, and be thankful to God in every circumstance.
In her testimony, the celebrant, Mrs. Mary lzam said God kept her all through the years in good health. She narrated how she encountered so many challenges from her child hood, place of work, education among others, but God showed her mercy.
According to her, a kind individual paid her school fees when she lost her mother in primary 3 and her father refused to sponsor her education. She added that she has no idea who that individual was. She also advised the youths to seek the wisdom of God through studying scriptures as she gave few copies of the Bible to them.
Daughter of the celebrant, Mrs. Josephine Moltok, in her remarks appreciated God for the life of their mother. She said, they did not want to throw a birthday party in their house to celebrate their mother’s birthday, rather, they choose the house of God to returns honor, glory, and adoration for all he has done in Mama’s life.
In her words, mama’s life has been an inspiration to them. Stressing how she encourages youths to be educated for a better future. She also donated a token as Mama’s Thanksgiving present dedicated for the church’s pastorium building project. Moltok wishes mama long life and good health.
