It was a celebration of love as friends, family, well wishers and special guests witnessed the exchange of marital vows between Martins Abi and Beatrice, daughter of the Vice President of the Church of Christ in Nations, COCIN, Rev. Dr. Timothy Nwan which was held at the Living Faith Church, Lugbe, Abuja.
The COCIN President, Rev. Dr. Amos Mohzo who was part of the officiating ministers blessed the young couple and urged them to never depart from the word of God which according to him will ensure their successful future.
He however encouraged them to live in love and follow in the footsteps of our Master, Jesus Christ so that together, they will experience the fullness of the blessings of being married.
In an exhortation on the topic “The Principles of a Successful Marriage, the preacher, Pastor Kayode of the Living Faith read from the book of Deutronomy 28:7 among other Bible verses. He said it took the creation of Eve for Adam to complete the perfect creation of God, that is why no marriage that is the will of God is ever a mistake because God instituted marriage and makes all things beautiful.
He expressed disappointment that most marriages fail because they have thrown away the principles of God concerning marriage and stressed that marriage is older than the cultures most people introduced into their homes which was part of God’s plans.
“Marriage is not a contract but a covenant with God and witnessed by people and you must make each other’s joy your priority by avoiding selfishness which is the main reason why most homes don’t last. When you seek to understand each other, we will certainly avoid a lot of challenges that come into marital homes”, Pastor Kayode said.
The union was witnessed by many guests including the COCIN Incorporated Board of Trustees Chairman, Rev. Prof. Soja Bewarang, Former President, Rev. Prof. Pandang Yamsat, former Vice President, Rev. Dr. Obed Dashan, PCC Abuja Chairman, Rev. Aaron Ndrimbita, leading Pastor of the Headquarters Church, Rev. Dr. Sylvester Dachomo, Rev.
