COCIN President, Rev. Prof. Dachollom Datiri has led the Church’s Executive Council on a condolence visit to the President’s elect, Rev. Dr. Amos Mohzo over the demise of his mother in Jos.
While condoling with the bereaved family, Rev. Prof. Dachollom Datiri said, “we cannot mourn as people without hope for we know Mama died in the Lord, therefore we have not lost her. She has finished her work here on earth and has gone home to rest with the Lord.”
He encouraged the family with Bible verses from Psalm 34:18; 73:26 & 147:3 and said God will continue to comfort and heal their broken hearts because he wants them to finish their own assignment.
Responding, Rev. Dr. Amos Mohzo thanked the Church’s Executive Council for their show of love at their time of need. He went on to narrate how God spared his mother’s life 8 years ago when Boko Haram attacked their house in Gwoza.
He described her as his pillar of support since their father died while he was still young adding that, though she did not go to school but served as his teacher at home, guiding him in the best way she could.
The late mother of the Church President elect, Rev. Dr. Amos Mohzo died after a protracted illness in Jos, Plateau State.
Some Council members during the visit including the Chairman COCIN Board of Trustees, Rev. Prof. Soja Bewarang offered special prayers for God to comfort the family.
