Covid19: COCIN Resume Activities 12 Weeks after Partial Shutdown

The Leadership of Church of Christ in Nations, COCIN with headquarters in Jos, the Plateau State Capital has announced the resumption of work at the Church Secretariat and other activities with immediate effect after 12 weeks of partial Shutdown over the covid-19 pandemic.

In a circular dated 16 June 2020 signed by the Church General Secretary, Rev. Dr. Amos Mohzo to all it’s Provincial and Regional Church Councils, the Church informed all COCIN staff to resume work under strict adherence to all guidelines of the Covid-19 as put in place by government for safety of all members.

It says, “Ensure Hand Washing properly with soaps and the use of Hand Sanitizers, Churches should ensure the use of Infra-ray Thermometer to check temperature of people before entering the church for worship services.

Every church should ensure that members wear face mask during worship and maintain physical distance while in church. Pastors to ensure strict observation of the covid-19 guidelines by all members”.

The Church also announced new dates for its earlier postponed Executive Council, EC and General Church Council, GCC meetings to hold as follows, EC 30th June to 2nd July, 2020 while the GCC is 20th to 24th 2020.
