DSS to quiz Dr. Mailafiya Again

The former Presidential Candidate in the 2019 General election and former Central Bank Deputy Governor, Dr. Obadiah Mailafiya has been invited for the second time by the Department of Security Services DSS, in her Jos office in Plateau State.

Dr. Mailafia Who was invited and quizzed for six hours last week over his comment on a Radio interview in Lagos that a Northern Governor is the Commander of Boko Haram.

In the radio interview which later went viral on social media, he revealed that the Boko Haram Terrorists are also planning a civil war in the country by 2022.

He went further to accuse the government of being complicit in the killings due to their body language and comments especially on their statement of claimed revenge killings in Southern Kaduna.

The former Presidential Candidate and one of the outspoken leaders of the Middle Belt from Southern Kaduna revealed that his  intelligence network have met with some of the highly placed repentant Boko Haram members who  revealed to him that after the present rural killings, they will go into phase two, which is going into the urban area and killing prominent people before the civil war by 2022.

He also revealed that Boko Haram and Bandits are the same and have a sophisticated network and are already in some Forests in the South South.

Dr. Mailafiya added that even during the lockdown, the terrorists’ Airplanes were flying freely, moving with ammunition, logistics and cash which they were distributing in parts of the country for their operation, claiming they have everything they need.

The DSS after the six hours interrogations, faulted Dr. Mailafia for breaching communication protocols, saying it is expected that he should be conversant with official information management protocols, being a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and currently, a Directing Staff at Nigeria’s foremost Policy Research Institute, the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru.

This is not the first time that some prominent Nigerians are making such revealing comments, exposing those behind the terrorist activities in Nigeria but such persons were never interrogated to substantiate their claims.

In 2014, Former Chief of Army Staff, Lt-General Onyeabor Azubuike Ihejirika accused Nasir El- Rufai of being a sponsor of the the Boko Haram terror group, but nothing was done.

In 2017, the then Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Amina Alhassan aka. Mama Taraba also threatened to expose Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s role in the Kidnapped of the Chibok School Girls if he, El-Rufai dares her and none of them was invited for further interrogation.

In 2016, the Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai claimed that his government had traced some violent, aggrieved Fulani to their countries and paid them to stop the killings of Southern Kaduna natives and the destruction of their communities saying that the renewed violence is carried out by bandits.

The governor was not questioned on how he was able to identify the killers and why the killing is persisting even after the payment.
