HIV/AIDS: NGO Gives Hope to Thousands in Plateau

Grace and Light International Ministry, a non governmental organization which seeks to tackle issues bordering on HIV/AIDS says it has reached 22,433 people with the message of Social righteousness in 2021.

The Coordinator, Mrs. Tassie Ghata made the disclosure recently while delivering her report at the Annual General Meeting of the organization held at the Headquarters in Jos, Nigeria.

According to her, Grace and Light went on vision sharing visitation to several churches and schools where they created awareness on HIV Aids, carried out tests for those who volunteered and preached on social righteousness within the year under review leading to 385 new converts and 3,536 people rededicated their lives to Christ.

She added that on HIV counselling and testing they were able to conduct tests for 3,187 people in Churches, 451 in Schools and 349 at HCT.

The Chairman, Board of Directors, Dr. Mark Hopkins in his speech spoke on the Ministry’s theme for the year which is “ The Righteous Shall Live by Faith”. He observed that many Christians are living carelessly under the guise that righteous living is optional for salvation and warned that such will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

There were good will messages and teaching sessions on ‘Living Without Stress’ by Dr. Kingsley Mayowa ‘Drugs and Substance Abuse’ by Dr. Paul Mershak represented by Mrs. Caroline Onwuozube and ‘Politics of Righteousness’ by Mr. Yiljap Abraham.
