The President of the Church of Christ in Nations, COCIN, Rev. Dr Amos Mohzo has said the economic and security challenges facing Nigeria spells impending hunger in the land if nothing is done about iturgently.
Rev. Dr. Mohzo said this during the 10th Anniversary/History Book Dedication of COCIN Regional Church Councils, RCC Dadin Kowa, Jos.
The spiritual leader urged members to be wise and deligent in ensuring that they engage in fruitful agricultural ventures while warning them against indiscriminate selling of foodstuff.
“We are hard pressed on every side as Christians on every side which is a Clarion call for us to be wise and live withing what we can afford instead of being foolish and emulating those who spend lavishly not minding tomorrow.
“Do not insist on having lavish wedding celebrations where we spend just to impress others and without reason but we should work towards building ourselves to be self reliant so that we will survive the impending hunger”, Rev. Dr. Mohzo said.
He congratulated the RCC for a job well done in transforming the area within 10 years and urged them to reach out with the gospel of Jesus Christ to the southern part of Nigeria where the sound teaching of the gospel is needed
