The Katsina State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), has expressed deep gratitude to Gov. Dikko Radda on the recruitment of Christian Religious Studies (CRS) teachers in the state.
Statement by the State CAN Secretary, Dr. Musa Daniel Danladi, said the CAN under the leadership of Very Rev. Fr. Richard Shuaibu Liti was thrown into celebration as it noted a deliberate effort by the governor to recruit the (CRS) teachers.
The statement recalled that the state CAN has always been advocating for the recruitment of CRS teachers in the state to promote good morals.
According to the statement, the advertisement from the state government through the Katsina State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education dated 11th August, 2025, clearly stated that qualified teachers with the requisite Qualifications to teach CRS and or Theology should apply.
“The teaching of Christian Religious knowledge in our schools will not only promote academic excellence of our Christian students, but it will help build their character and make them better citizens of the state.
“We therefore call on Christians in the state with such qualifications to go online and express their interest in the job.
“We also want to put it on record that our Governor has approved the disbursement of monthly stipends for all the pastors in the State, this stipend is meant to encourage the clergy to continue to pray for the peace and progress of Katsina State.”
The state CAN expressed their sincere gratitude for the kind gesture trusting that the initiatives will be sustained beyond the the governor’s second tenure in office.
The CAN leadership in the state also prayed God to bless the Governor and the Government of Katsina State.
