The Senator representing Plateau North in the Nigerian National Assembly, Istifanus Gyang on Friday said he is saddened by Thursday’s killing of six farmers in Wereng village of Riyom Local Government Area in Plateau State.
Six locals were killed on Thursday night, a day after Senator Gyang called for justice following the killing of eight miners in Kuru village of Jos South LGA, last week Friday.
The Senator in a press statement through his spokesperson, Musa Ashoms called securities to “urgently” arrest “wickedness and killing of law abiding citizens in Plateau North”.
“The style of the assailants who have no respect nor regard for the sanctity of human lives has been to lay ambush, attack and kill unsuspecting citizens going about their lawful quest to earn a living,” he said.
Equally, the Senator said perpetrators of the dastardly acts should be fished out to face justice “so that prospective terrorists, bandits and killer herdsmen will be deterred.”
