The Plateau State House of Assembly has ordered all security operatives especially those manning road networks in the State to appear before it’s Committee on security over maltreatment of motorists.
This followed a motion on matter of urgent public importance moved by the House Deputy Majority Leader and Chairman, House Committee on Information, Philip Dasun.
Hon. Dasun representing Pankshin North state Constituency lamented how many government and private officials are being treated badly on the roads by security operatives inspecting vehicles.
According to Dasun, the motion is a call to the Plateau State Government to caution the joint security operatives manning the roads to order, saying the intention is good but their approach is mostly bad and urged them to be modest in their operation.
Speaker of the House, Ayuba Abok directed the Clark of the House to invite the joint security operatives to appear before it’s Committee on security.
During the Tuesday plenary, the House also screened and confirmed the nomination of Mrs. Dina Lar a former member of the House of Assembly from Langtang North as member of House of Assembly Service Commission.
Other nominees that were screened and confirmed are Kiannah John Mizim as Chairman, Disability Rights Commission while Mr. Seth Attah, Mr. John Gyang, Catherine Kyamwan and Mr. Deingmuk Damasus as members.
