The Nasarawa State Police Command has paraded forty five (45) suspected criminals of various offenses in the state.
Briefing newsmen on the command’s achievements within the period of five months, the Police Commissioner, Bola Longe, said the suspected criminals committed offenses ranging from Kidnapping, Rape, armed robbery, Cultism among others.
The kidnappers include the gang that kidnapped the Senior Special Adviser to the Nasarawa State Governor, John Mamman in April and the State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, Bishop Joseph Masin in May.
Among the suspects are 14 kidnappers, 19 armed robbers, 6 rapists and 6 cultists, who committed the crimes in different locations in the state.
Items recovered from the suspects include N1, 486,040.00, 63 live ammunition, 11 fire arms and 1 motorcycle.
Mr. Bola Longe warned all criminal elements in the state and their allies who may be nursing plans that are inimical to the security of the state, to desist from such acts as the Police in the state will not relent in mobilizing all resources within its reach to confront and neutralize their criminal acts and tendencies.
The Police Command further pleads with the people to use the window of mutual cooperation provided by the reinvigorated concept of Community Policing, which was recently inaugurated from the State to the ward/divisional level in the command for the good of Nasarawa State.
