Nasarawa: Police Parades killer of former Minister’s Nephew, 21 others

The Nasarawa State Police Command has paraded one Mohammed Suleiman over alleged kidnapping and subsequent killing of a nephew to former Minister of Information, Labaran Maku.

Briefing Journalists on the state command’s achievements in Lafia today, the Nasarawa State Police Commissioner, Bola Longe said, the suspect confessed being a member of the criminal gang that killed the Superintendent of Immigration and a woman at Gudi town, Akwanga LGA of the State.

Other suspects paraded by the command includes 21 kidnappers and armed robbers terrorising major high ways, markets and supermarkets in different locations of the state.

According to the State Police Boss, the suspects are members of some villainous gangs that were responsible for some high profile kidnapping cases in the state.

Items recovered from the criminals and paraded as exhibits includes Vehicle, AK47 riffle, pistols, live ammunitions, assorted phones among others.

The Police Command also expressed appreciation to members of the public, traditional rulers and other security agencies for their support and cooperation which impacted positively on the police achievements in the past few months.

“The Command wants to assert unequivocally that the security of lives and properties of every law abiding citizen remains its topmost priority and will not shrink from this constitutional duty. In the light of this, we want to reassure the public of our avowed commitment to the realization of this objective”

The police said it will not rest on its oars, as they solicit for more information and synergy from members of the public for greater accomplishment.

Recall that last month the Lightbearer reported that an officer of the Nigeria Immigration Service NIS, Salihu Usman, a nephew to former Minister of Information, Labaran Maku and his wife were abducted in Gudi town where they later killed him in the bush.
