The National Examinations Council (NECO) says it might deregister Fabian Kings and Queens International School, Kabala West, Kaduna for indulging in examination malpractice.
Signature Television had on Wednesday, 2nd December 2020 reported about some “infractions” at the school during the just concluded 2020 SSCE.
“Based on the Council’s zero tolerance for examination malpractice, it swung swiftly into action by: flagging the centre, identifying and isolating all the candidates’ scripts for scrutiny,” said Mr. Azeez Sani, the
Head Information and Public Relations Division of NECO in a press release on Monday.
The Council he said has constituted an Administrative Committee to investigate the allegation to enable it take appropriate actions.
If found culpable, Azeez said the entire results of the school will be cancelled, and the school “derecognized”.
The examination officials involved in the act will be also be prosecuted in based on the Examination Malpractice Decree 33 of 1999, he said.The school Management has yet to comment on the issue.
