New COCIN President is our Son- Gwom Rwey Vwang

The District head of Vwang Community in Vom, Jos South local government area of Plateau State has said that the New COCIN President, Rev. Dr. Amos Mohzo is a son of the land.

The Gwom Rwey Vwang, HRH. Da Gyang Balak was speaking when the new President led a delegation of the Church to his palace to rejoice with him over his safe release from the hands of kidnappers recently.

He noted that for the new President of COCIN, who is from Borno state to bury his biological mother late last year in Vwang land, he has automatically become the son of the land.

The royal father who attributed his safe release from the kidnappers to the power of prayer and narrated to the Church leaders how he became a prayer warrior in their den.

He said the palace attached premium to prayers hence, the presence of a retired clergy man in the palace and they ensure daily prayers before any business of the day.

He described what happened to him as a lesson, noting that they had issue with the Fulani since 2011 and for him to enter their hands and come out safely is a divine intervention.

Da Gwom Rwey Vwang, urged his subjects and all the ward heads of Vwang to give the New COCIN President all the needed cooperation to resolve the Karl Kumm University, KKU takeoff crisis, saying he is convinced that the issue will be resolve soon.

The President of COCIN, Rev. Dr. Amos Mohzo had earlier informed the traditional ruler that they were in his Palace as a Church to rejoice with him for his safe release from the hands of kidnappers.

He encouraged the traditional ruler with God’s word from the book of Isaiah 54:16-17, and said it was God who vindicated him from the midst of his enemies.

Rev. Dr. Mohzo thanked God for returning the royal father to his people and also appreciated the traditional ruler for having some retired COCIN Pastors working in his palace.

He also described the Gwom Rwey Vwang as a man of peace.

On Karl Kumm University takeoff crisis, the Church leader said he believes in the royal father as a man of peace and he is confident that the issue will be put to rest to allow the smooth takeoff soon.

COCIN General Secretary, Rev. Associate Professor Benjamin Pokol, the Church Treasurer Mr. Stephen Mara and the Director of Church Growth department, Rev. Bulus Tsok were among the team led by the President of the Church.

Secretary of the Palace and wards heads of Vwang District were also at the palace to receive the COCIN leaders.
