Ngas Youths go spiritual to Restore  Plateau glory

Worried by the general retrogressive nature of life being experienced in Ngas land and Plateau state, the leadership of Ngas Youth Movement NYM, Jos branch has organized a prayer retreat to seek God divine intervention.

The prayer retreat which held in Jos the Plateau state capital, saw the youths pouring out their hearts to God in prayers for forgiveness and interceding for the Ngas land and Plateau state as a whole.

According to the Jos branch Chairman of the Movement, Comrade Chamkitda Nenkus, the prayer retreat was necessary to appreciate God for the privilege to see the year 2021 despite the challenges of 2020 and to also pray for forgiveness.

Other prayer points according to him was for the youths in Ngas land to be productive in order to reclaim the Ngas lost glory of hard work, dedication and trust worthy which made the Ngas people popular in the past.

“Ngas man was a symbol of truth, and that earned us the name aska daya, magana daya, meaning one mark, one word” he added.

The Jos branch NYM prayed God to raise the likes of JD Gomwalk, who is popularly call “the Architect of Plateau” and Gen. Yakubu Gowon Rtd. from the Nags land to bring about the needed transformation Plateau state is daring to have.

They also prayed God for a new Ngolong Ngas, the Paramount ruler of the Ngas land as the stool has been vacant since the demise of the late Ngolong Ngas five years ago.

The prayers were led by Rev. Yiltu Rotshak of COCIN Prayer and Revival Unit and Evangelist Judah Bedimma after brief exhortation and songs of praises.

The preachers urged the youths to cast away the spirit of drunkenness that is almost becoming the Ngas identity and to break any traditional curses or spell over their lives by being upright with God.

The National President of Ngas Development Association NDA, Nde Gonen Gofwen who surprised the youths with an unannounced presence at the retreat, applauded the wisdom of the youth leadership in making God first in their affairs.
