Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Governor announced his status on Monday in a tweet saying he has gone into isolation.

Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Mrs. Mary Noel-Berje, told journalists that the Governor’s samples were taken for test and “unfortunately returned positive.”
“We however solicit for prayers from all and sundry for his quick recovery even as he is asymptomatic to the virus,” she said.
