Only female aspirant for Plateau South by-election reportedly involved in auto crash

Prof. Nora Dadut

An only female aspirant for the Plateau Southern Senatorial seat, Prof. Mrs. Nora Ladi Dadut on Monday survived a ghastly motor accident along Akwanga-Abuja road, sources say.

Dadut was on her way to Abuja to participate in the scheduled screening by the All Progressives Congress preparatory to the Primaries for the forthcoming Senatorial by-elections when the crash occurred, it was gathered.

An incoming truck in the bid to overtake a vehicle around Mada Hills crossed its lane to hit the hilux pickup van on which the Professor of French was moving on, an eyewitness said.

The vehicle which appears badly damaged reportedly had multiple summersaults before stopping, causing minor injuries on the driver and other occupants.

Nora, a native of Qua’pan Local Government Area who is a member of the Lady Knight of St. John’s Int’l and the second Supreme Vice-President in the whole world was however unhurt.

She was said to have still proceeded on the journey on an alternative vehicle.
