
The newly elected member of the Plateau State House of Assembly representing Pankshin South, Ezra Dakup has been sworn in by the Speaker of the Assembly, Yakubu Sanda.
The member who was elected on the Platform of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress APC, was inaugurated amidst cheers by his family and teaming supporters from the constituency on Tuesday.

While inaugurating the new member, the speaker charged him to be diligent and reciprocate the confident reposed on him with selfless service to his constituency, Assembly and state at large.
Ezra Dakup was elected during the bye-election which took place on the 26 of February, 2022 after the demise of the former member of the constituency, Barr. Henry Longs last year.
Also during the Tuesday plenary, the House also screened and confirmed 3 nominees by the state Governor as commissioners into the Plateau State Civil Service Commission.
The Commissioners are Alh. Useini Abdullahi, William Audu and Dakok Tumak Sylvanus.

Earlier, the House members led by the Speaker, Yakubu Sanda had visited and inspect the State Assembly Complex alongside the contractor that will repair the Hallow Chamber that was damaged last year during the impeachment of the former Speaker, Abok Ayuba Nuhu.
The contractor was given two weeks to complete the repairs for the House to resume legislative business in the chamber.
The contractor, Khalil Raffoul of KAMBA Construction Ltd, assured of timely completion of the work within the specified duration of the two weeks starting from Wednesday, 16 of March, 2022.
