PDP Candidate, Barr. Mutfwang Wins Plateau Governorship Election

The candidate of the opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang has won the Saturday’s Governorship election held in the State after winning 10 out of the 17 local government areas..

Announcing the results on Monday at the State Headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC in Jos, the Governorship election Returning Officer, Prof. Idris Amali declared that the PDP Candidate, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang pulled a total number of 525, 299 to defeat his closest contestant, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC who scored a total number of 481, 370 to become second.

Candidate of the Labour Party, Dr. Patrick Sunday Dakum came far third with total number of 60,310 votes across the 17 local government areas of the state.

The results were announced in the presence of heads of security agencies in the State, party agents, Journalists, Domestic and International Observers in the State.

Political party agents and the Returning Officer dully signed the results to show their satisfaction with the process.
