Pilgrimage: New NCPC Boss Promise to Redeem Nigeria’s Image

The new Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), Rev. Yakubu Pam has promised to address the issue of Nigerian pilgrims absconding during Pilgrimage to Israel.

He made this promise recently during his speech at a special thanksgiving service organized by the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN in his honor which was held at the National Christian Centre Abuja.

According to Rev. Pam, addressing the issue in which pilgrims abscond is part of his greater plan to reposition the commission for a more effective service delivery and to redeem the image of the nation in the international community.

He appreciated the people for their show of love and promised not to fall short of their expectations of him. He also thanked the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari for considering him worthy of the appointment.

While acknowledging the celebrant for his humility, Rev. Dr. Ayokunle urged him to be courageous in speaking the truth to high authorities when the need arises.

The Chairman of the occasion, General Yakubu Gowon (rtd) represented by Senator George Akume described Rev. Pam as a veritable friend to all intending pilgrims and called on him to use his office to promote peace and religious harmony in the country.
