
Members of the 10th Plateau State House of Assembly have elected principal officers to lead the Assembly.
The election was done during inauguration of the 10th Assembly at the Assembly complex in Jos, the Plateau State capital on Tuesday.
Clerk of the House, Mr. Ponven Wuyep read Governor Caleb Mutfwang letter of dissolving the 9th Assembly and a proclamation of the 10th Assembly.
Member representing Quanpan South, Cornelius Dongnaan (PDP) nominated member representing Mikang, Moses Sule, (PDP) as Speaker and was seconded by member representing Pankshin North Gabriel Dewan (YPP)
Also, Joseph Bukar of Shendam constituency (APC) nominated Gwattson Fom Dalyop of Jos South Constituency (PDP) as Deputy Speaker and was seconded by Timothy Dantong, (PDP), Riyom Constituency.
Clerk of the House, Ponven Wuyep administered Oath of office and allegiance to the two principal officers.
The Speaker appreciated his colleagues for choosing him to led them in the 10th Assembly and appealed for their cooperation to have an Assembly free of ranchor.
The Speaker also called for synergy with the executive and security agencies in the state to curtail the security challenges bedeviling the state.
