The Chairman, Plateau State Internal Revenue Service, Mr Arlat Dashe, says the service has trained 23 Directors in the organisation to raise revenue generation.
Mr. Dashe was speaking at the training for the Directors organized by the organization in Jos, the state capital.
Dashe who was represented by the Director Finance and Administration, Mr. Paul Katyen, said that the programme, titled: “How to become High Performance Managers”, would equip the staff members to meet its target for the year.
The Chairman said that the training would enhance productivity at work and create better work environment to achieve set goals.
Dashe said the that trained officers would implement skills learned by passing it on to other officers in their various departments.
The Director-General of The Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Joseph Ari , whose staff facilitated the training, said that the training was timely and would enable participants to be proactive in the discharge of their duties.
Ari, who was represented by Mr Zachariah Piwuna, the Director , Research and Curriculum Development Department, said that the training cut across knowledge, skills and attitude.
He said the participants were encouraged to come up with personal development plan that would validate what had been learned.
Mrs Elizabeth Dalyop, a participant, said she had learned ways of motivating her subordinates to achieve set goals within record time.
Kopmut Shadrack, also a participant, said the training was first of its kind and he had learned team work and better ways to relate with other officers.
