
Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong has asked newly appointed General Manager of the Plateau Publishing Corporation, Boniface Bakshuet Gwotbit to revive the State’s Nigerian Standard Newspapers to compete “favourably” in the media space.
The Governor in a press statement, Wednesday signed by his Press Director, Simon Makut tasked the new Manager to leverage on his experience and work towards repositioning the firm to take its rightful place as one of Nigeria’s most vibrant newspapers “in line with the dream of its founding fathers and the realities of today’s competitive and dynamic publishing industry.”

“He wants the new leadership to also focus on the commercial prosperity of the Corporation for self-sustenance,” the statement says.
The new GM whose appointment takes effect immediately was the Director Marketing of the Corporation, who has served in the organisation for 32 years.
He has a Ph.D degree in Business Administration from Barmenda International University Cameroon and was one time Management Committee Chairman of Mikang Local Government.
