
IGP Adamu's was due for retirement since last month
President Muhammadu Buhari has extended the tenure of Mohammed Adamu as the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for three months.
The extension according to Vanguard was announced to correspondents on Thursday by Minister of Police Affairs, Mohammad Dingyadi at the presidential villa, Abuja.
This was necessary to allow room for proper selection of a replacement, Dingyadi said.
