Private businessman gifts brand new motorbikes, others to 40 rural farmers in Plateau

Pharmacist Chun gifts the items to aid families in post-covid season

At least 40 poor rural farmers on Wednesday received donations of motorcycles, water pumps and fertilizers from an independent Medical Entrepreneur, Chun John, to support their livelihoods.

Chun, a Pharmacist, businessman and co-founder of C.J & Del foundation made the donations in his Foron home District in Plateau State, to ease hardships caused by covid-19.

The items would also help farmers gain footing to produce and reduce poverty and food insecurity this cropping season.

“This should help the beneficiaries to have multiple streams of income to cater for their families and positively impact the society considering the economic hardships being faced by the people in this post-covid season,” he said.

Chairman of Foron Federal Ward, Mr. Bulus Dick said he was overwhelmed, knowing the donor is not occupying any public office.

“This will no doubt save our families from poverty and hungry, thereby reducing most of the problems we are facing including health and social insecurity,” Bulus said.
