Prof. Nentawe’s Emergence as APC Chair. Proof of Inclusive Government- Uzodima

Imo State governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governor’s Forumn, Hope Uzodinma has stated that the emergence of Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC demonstrates President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s dedication to inclusive leadership that transcends ethnic and religious lines.

Governor Hope Uzodima who represented President Tinubu stated this in an interactive session with the leadership of Heads of Denominations, Plateau State at the Nigeria Bible Translation Trust NBTT office in Jos.

He said they had accompanied Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda to Jos to come seek the blessings of his roots as Plateau has given the APC a capable leader.

In his remarks, the new National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda called on the leadership of the Heads of Denominations on the Plateau to pray for him to make a difference in his new office as the APC national Chairman.

The APC national chairman who was in company of the Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma, Ahmed Ododo (Kogi), Dr. Ahmad Aliyu (Sokoto), Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia (Benue), and former Plateau Governors Senator Simon Lalong and Senator Joshua Dariye, along with several notable APC leaders appreciated the church leaders for their support saying they are critical stakeholders in the development of the country.

While welcoming the August visitors, Chairman of the Heads of Denominations, Plateau State and President of the Church of Christ in Nations, COCIN, Rev. Dr. Amos Mohzo observed that Plateau has something meaningful to offer the nation as it is blessed with men and women of conviction, discipline and foresight.

Rev. Dr. Mohzo while reaffirming that the church on the Plateau remains a vital partner in the nation building process, urged the federal government through the office of the APC national Chairman to prioritize security, justice and the equitable distribution of the nation’s resources so that the people must feel the presence of government not only during electioneering periods.

“As you serve as the APC national Chairman, we pray for your success and urge you to carry with you the godly heritage of promoting peace and integrity. And may the voice of conscience and divine wisdom always find space in your heart as we pray for you to speak truth to power, not for personal gain but for national progress”, Rev. Dr. Mohzo said.

Special prayers were offered for Prof. Nentawe who was in Jos for a private visit and was expected to meet with the Gbong Gwom Jos and the leadership of the Jama’atu Nasril Islam, JNI.
