From Mathew Jwantu, Minna
The Chief Whip of the Senate and former Governor of Abia State, Orji Kalu says security is more a concern to Nigeria than zoning for 2023 Presidential elections.
“Zoning is not constitutional, and is not contained in the constitution of the All Progressives Congress,” said the Senator after meeting with Generals Ibrahim Babangida and Abdulsalami Abubakar at their private residences in Minna.
Sabotage in the security system, at the moment remains the biggest monster to fight, not political interests, he said.
In his words, “Security is a big challenge to everybody. Insecurity has defied any solution. I see a lot of sabotage in this issue of insecurity.”
Generals Babangida and Abdulsalam could not offer any comments but the visit, Kalu said was to felicitate with the former on attaining 79 years of age, and to welcome the latter back from his medical trip
