Tension as Bandits give Community deadline for ransom or attack

There is palpable tension in Warari community, Rijau local government area of Niger State as armed bandits have given them up to Tuesday to pay 9 million or face terror attack.

According to a source from Warari, the terror group are demanding 9million ransom from the Community with Tuesday next week as dateline else they descend on them heavily.

The source from the community who called for help and prayers, said many people are leaving the community and some schools are forced to hurriedly close and send students home this Friday.



“There is a serious security challenge going on in our community here in Warari. People are on the run in fear of armed bandits and kidnappers who have given us last Tuesday as a dateline to pay a ransom of 9million in order to stop them from attacking the community.

“As a result, schools are vacating and we seriously need God’s and security intervention” he said.

This threat calls for a proactive security intervention to save the locals from untimely deaths as activities of the armed bandits in Niger state and other states have been deadly. More so this is coming barely five days as the nation is still mourning the mass slaughter of rice farmers in Borno state.
