Transparency, Accountability, Inclusion are Guiding Principles of my Administration -Plateau Governor

Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has said that transparency, accountability and inclusion in governance are the driving principles of his “Time is Now” administration in the state.

Governor Mutfwang stated this during an Open Government Partnership (OGP) Multi-Stakeholders Roundtable and Sensitisation Workshop, held at the Banquet Hall of the New Government House, Little Rayfield, Jos recently.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment and dedication to running a transparent, accountable, and all-inclusive government, aimed at delivering good governance and quality services to the people.

The Governor noted that because his administration is operating on Open Government Partnership (OGP), investors are interested in investing in the state.

“We are actively creating opportunities for investors to participate in the state’s development, ensuring transparency in all transactions. Additionally, we are exploring strategies to leverage our agricultural assets for the benefit of the state.” He stated.

The governor also announced plans to revive and reconstruct legacy projects such as the Hill Station Hotel, Plateau Hotel, and Jos Abattoir with the aim of improving living standards and boosting revenue generation for economic prosperity.

Acknowledging the need for transparency and accountability in external funded developmental projects inherited, Governor Mutfwang assured that thorough reviews would be conducted to ensure value for money and benefit for the people.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Manji Wilson, the Chief Technical Adviser on Development Partnerships and Diaspora Engagements to the Governor, pointed the pivotal role of the OGP in Plateau’s development and commended Governor Mutfwang’s for keeping to his campaign promises by championing the advocacy for transparency, accountability, and inclusiveness in his administration.

The event had in attendance top government functionaries, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), media and other partners.
