Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has on Tuesday opened the remodeled Plateau State House of Assembly for use by the state legislators and staff.
While declaring the complex open for use, the governor reiterated his administration commitment to service which has created a conducive environment for the legislators to function well.
He said the remodeled complex is one of the benefits of the legislature financial autonomy which was given them and commended the leadership of the Assembly for the work done.

Earlier, the Speaker of the 10th Assembly, Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel, appreciated the governor for his support that made it possible to have the best gadgets in the complex and other support in building the legislators capacity to function well.
In a related development, the Plateau State House of Assembly has moved legislative businesses to the assembly complex following a motion by member representing Shendam State Constituency, Joseph Bukar on Tuesday at a Plenary.
Moving the motion Joseph Bukar stated that following the completion of renovation of the complex and it commissioning by the State Governor earlier, there was no need for plenary to continue at the old government house in Rayfield.
The motion was unanimously supported by the legislators who noted that the new edifice will be more conducive for legislative business after which the Speaker Naanlong Daniel confirmed the resolution.
The Speaker appreciated the legislators support, patience and cooperation during the period of renovating the complex.
Also at Plenary a bill for the establishment of the Plateau State Institute for Advanced Legislative Leadership and Democratic Studies and for other related matters passed First reading.
