Plateau State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), has presented relief materials to Chakfem Chiefdom of Mangu Local Government Area of the State following the recent deadly attacks that left scores displaced and properties destroyed.
The visit was in response to a recall by the Plateau State House of Assembly on Tuesday, following a motion under matter of urgent public importance, moved by Hon. Kwarpo concerning the incessant attacks on Chakfem Chiefdom in his constituency.
The items presented to the victims included mattresses, seasoning (Maggi), food items, and other essential needs.
The member representing Mangu South, Hon. Kwarpo was also at the affected villages where he donated 20 bags of corn (100kg each), ₦1 million for fueling and purchase of foodstuffs. He also recruited two medical personnel to strengthen healthcare delivery at the community clinic.
While making the presentation, the lawmaker expressed profound appreciation to Governor Caleb Mutfwang, for the prompt intervention through SEMA, saying it will go along way in cushioning the effects of the terrorist attacks on the people.
