He attributed the success of the senator at the polls to prayers that were offered.

Rev. Dr. Mohzo narrated how he was on a hot sit throughout the campaign period because 90% of the candidates were his members and they were always keen to hear what he will say his pastoral greetings but the Church played a neutral role during the election.

While advising the Senator not to discriminate against anyone in his leadership, the COCIN President encouraged him to give priority to schools and hospitals in his constituency projects.

Senator Diket Plang in his speech admitted that he is a member of COCIN who has benefitted immensely from the Church’s school in Boys Secondary School, Gindiri. He thanked the SUM for establishing COCIN holistically which does not only cater for the spiritual needs of people but educational, social and others.

While attributing his success in the elections to the prayers offered by the Church, the Senator recalled how prayers were offered for him from his local Church up to the headquarters, noting that in the same manner he is following the levels to acknowledge and appreciate the church.

He encouraged the Church to keep up the good work of touching lives.

The Senator added that they benefitted from the church and they should be able to give back, that was why he created an avenue for the Light Bearer at State Assembly while he was there as the Chairman House Committee on Information.

Senator Diket acknowledged the fact that he was not voted because of his money and he has to reciprocate. He further promise to do his best to support the church and to give a good representation to his people irrespective of religious or political differences.

According to him the church will be included in his projects which will include schools, light, books to schools and others. He added that he will carry out people oriented programs and those that will support the church.
