Plateau Government Denies Shortlisting Candidates for Ministry of Health Recruitment

The Plateau State Ministry of Health has said her attention has been drawn to a misleading message currently circulating on various social media platforms, falsely claiming that the Ministry has released a list of shortlisted candidates for a recruitment exercise across multiple positions.

Dr. Nicholas Ba’amlong, the Commissioner for Health, categorically states that the Ministry has not undertaken such action as no list of shortlisted applicants has been released, adding that the circulating information is false, unauthorized, and intended to mislead the public.

He urged members of the public to disregard such messages and treat them as a potential scam aimed at defrauding the public.

Dr. Ba’amlong said the Ministry of Health remains committed to due process and transparency in all recruitment exercises, noting that official announcements are made only through authorized government platforms, including the State Government’s official website, verified social media handles, and credible media outlets.

“At no point will the Ministry publish a list of shortlisted candidates through unofficial channels or social media broadcasts.

“We strongly advise the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious messages or individuals requesting personal information or payments in relation to this false shortlisted candidate claim.” He added

The Commissioner said the ministry will continue to uphold the principles of transparency, integrity, and professionalism in all its operations and will not condone any attempt to undermine public trust.

“For accurate and up-to-date information regarding the Ministry’s activities, the public is encouraged to rely solely on our official communication channels.”
