The Ngolong Ngas, His Majesty Nde Jika Golit, has congratulated the President of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Rev. Dr. Amos Mohzo, the Incorporated Board of Trustees, and the General Church Council on the successful conclusion of the Church’s 109th General Church Council, GCC.
In a press statement issued in Jos by the Chief Media Officer to the Ngolong Ngas, Wukaska Gowon, and made available to journalists on Tuesday, the traditional ruler commended the Church for promoting unity among members and advancing the Great Commission as enshrined in the Holy Scriptures.
The Monarch also praised the peaceful and transparent conduct of elections during the Council meeting, which saw Rev. Associate Professor Benjamin Pokol and Rev. Dinfa Mamshal emerge as Vice President and General Secretary of the Church, respectively.
According to the statement, the successful exercise reflects the Church’s commitment to democratic principles, transparency, and spiritual growth.
The Ngolong Ngas urged COCIN to continue using such gatherings as opportunities to pray for leaders at all levels of government and for peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.
He stressed that unity, prayer, and mutual understanding remain critical ingredients for national development and sustainable peace.
His Majesty further expressed confidence in the newly elected leaders, wishing them a successful tenure marked by wisdom, dedication, and impactful service to the Church and society.
The royal father also prayed for continued unity, growth, and divine guidance for COCIN as it pursues its mission of spreading the Gospel and fostering Christian values across the country.
