The Member representing Langtang North Central in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Nanbol Listick has called on citizens to show interest and to participate in civic responsibilities and also care for God’s creation.
Hon. Listick who graduated as a public theologian from the prestigious Theological College of Northern Nigeria, (TCNN) Bukuru, Jos, made the call while presenting a paper at a graduation of Extension Bible School (EBS), students of Theological Education by Extension (TEE), Regional Church Council, RCC Langtang Study Center on Thursday.
Presenting a paper, titled “Theological Education as a Catalyst for Moral formation” the lawmaker said citizens’ participations in civic duties is fundamental. He therefore urged the graduating students and congregants to always obey constituted authorities and perform civic duties.
He encouraged them to prioritize Voters card Registration, promote birth registration as well as National Identification Number, (NIN) registration.
He urged them to engage in planting trees and to avoid bush burning. To also Pay taxes, help generate revenue for development and to ensure that their children go to school.
The Lawmaker backed his call with Biblical references from Romans 13:1-2 and many other texts from the Bible.
“Be peaceful, be united, be righteous, be an entrepreneur, contribute to economic development, to education and environmental care.Security is every body’s business be wise.” He emphasized.
