The University of Jos (UNIJOS) has pledged continued support to Karl Kumm University (KKU), Vom, to strengthen its intellectual capacity and enhance its global competitiveness
Vice Chancellor of UNIJOS, Prof. Tanko Ishaya made the pledge at a civic reception in honour of the pioneer Vice Chancellor of KKU, Prof. Nanven Gambo.
Represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academics, Prof. Joshua Pam Chollom, Ishaya said UNIJOS, as a mentoring institution, had continued to provide intellectual and human-resource support to KKU since its establishment.
He commended Prof. Gambo for his contributions to the growth and stabilisation of the university during his tenure.
Chairman of the KKU Governing Council, Prof. Hayward Mafuyai, also praised Gambo for his dedication, while the Chairman of the occasion, Prof. Victor Adetula, described him as an outstanding intellectual who had represented Tarokland and Nigeria with distinction.
The Convener, Dr. Nandom Abu, said Gambo’s contribution went beyond university administration, stressing that he shaped minds, built character and raised leaders capable of making an impact globally.
Responding, Prof. Gambo thanked God for his achievements and appreciated everyone who supported him throughout his service to Karl Kumm University.
